Travelling to Houston

Hello everyone,

I'll be in Houston in Oct/Nov for medical training at HCA Northwest Houston.

I was thinking of staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Houston Cypress Station since it's just a short walk from the hospital. But the hospital said it's not safe to walk there, even during the day. Is that true?

Also, I would love some general advice about the area. And, could anyone recommend must-visit places or local attractions I should check out during my time there?

Additionally, I'd appreciate any tips on nearby amenities, such as grocery stores, shopping malls, or other essential services.
