Schlitterbahn’s new policy for life jackets

Has anyone else gone to Schlitterbahn in the last few weeks? We always buy season passes but a few weeks ago entering the lazy river they made everyone put on life jackets. I asked why and the young man stated that since Six Flags took over that will be their new policy from here on out.

I called my sister in new braunfels and same thing.

My question is, since everyone in our family absolutely hated it as we all go for the free swim to relax and get exercise, is there another water park around Houston where season passes are worth it and life jackets are not needed to swim in the pool area? I think this is our last season pass to schlitterbahn after almost a decade! Sad day.

Did anyone else’s family get bummed about this new policy or are we the brats? Lol
