Photos: These Houston restaurants closed permanently during the pandemic

Dozens of Houston restaurants have closed in the nearly seven months that the Covid-19 pandemic has ravaged the restaurant industry. 

It was expected. As early as March, local industry experts predicted that a quarter of local restaurants would close permanently due to Covid-19. Nationally, Yelp estimated in September that 60% of restaurants that closed temporarily due to Covid-19 haven’t reopened. Houston was the sixth-hardest hit U.S. metro area in that analysis.
