CenterPoint gas bill

Someone help me out. I moved into my new apartment on July 15th. I got the bill for my gas and it was $68.80. How is this even possible? Gas should be really cheap compared to my electric bill which was cheaper than my gas this month! Of course I can never get a hold of anyone at CenterPoint with the long wait periods. This has to be wrong.
