Flood Proofing a house

Has anyone done any floodproofing?

I can only find two that do floodproofing, FloodSafeUSA and Floodark. They do basically the same thing, seal the exterior and either replace doors/windows or use barriers on all the exits to the house.

If a house has a brick veneer, they plug up cracks/gaps and roll or spray on a clear waterproof coating. Then they either barricade the doors with flood barriers or they will replace your doors. Doors are very costly compared to barricades.

I am seeing where barriers are common in the UK. It also seem the UK floodproofing engineering is a little more mature than in the US.
