My name is John Lomax, I'm a reporting intern working for the Houston Chronicle. It was recently brought to my attention that there hadn't been an update on the Harris County Animal Shelter since some awful stuff was reported on last year. I've since reached out to the animal shelter itself, but I was hoping to connect with some current/past employees or volunteers that could tell me about the current state of affairs there, or if there has been any improvement at all.
