What are some good night clubs for solo travelers in Houston?

I'm a guy in my 20s visiting Houston for the weekend so I was thinking of going out tomorrow night. My buddy who used to live here mentioned how the crowds in Houston clubs tend to be closed-off and cliqueish (friends-group) compared to other places apparently.

Usually when I go by myself traveling, I basically just jam and groups naturally open up to include you.

Do you guys have any recommendations for places with similar vibes and preferably 20s-40s crowd (basically my age group)?

Also thoughts on Fabians? I have heard good things about it, but not sure how it would be as a solo guy who has never been to a Latin club and barely speaks spanish.
