Areas in Spring to avoid renting in?

Not very familiar with the area as I haven’t lived here long, but wanting to live closer to childcare for RTO commute.

Would like to stay north of 1960 and don’t mind commuting from farther out like the woodlands/Conroe so long as I can access the 45 without major backtracking or detours.

Any recommendations or just advice on areas to avoid? We’re trying to stay around 2K in rent. I know that’s not luxury prices but I’d like to not have SWAT teams down the street constantly like I do now.
