My mom was invited by phone to a breast cancer gala happening in person today, specifically because she is a survivor (and still on immunosuppressants)

So if this is not allowed sorry, just remove it.

I just was hoping to bring anyones attention to this since I don’t have any control over where my mom goes. We live together, she’s immunocompromised because of the chemo, I am for different reasons, and I stay with my 85 yr old grandma every single weekend (to help her). So we have all been very cautious until this month, now my mom has started going to a bunch of events again much to our annoyance.

Anyway Pampered Pink is holdings it’s annual gala tonight, I can find no info online without joining their group, but I found this flyer for it. She says they called her yesterday and invited her since last year she was a runway model (they let breast cancer survivors model local fashion brands) so they specifically invited survivors. She says it’s outdoors but idk how close they will be, there was easily 200+ people last year and the location on the flyer is some restaurant called Topwater Grill. Plus they definitely won’t be eating that plate of food they charge for with a mask on.

Maybe no one cares, maybe someone does but they haven’t advertised anywhere and like I said you can find very little info online about it. Even last year they had a public Facebook event for it but this year it’s either private or they didn’t post it. I don’t understand why they didn’t cancel this event and especially why they specifically invited the cancer survivors by phone.
