Trinity/Houston gardens, is that an up and coming area?

My girlfriend and I are looking to buy our first house in about 8 months and have seen quite a few new construction neighborhoods going up. Existing construction homes seem less than desirable and was curious if that area was going to start becoming a nicer developed area.
