Cell Phone Coverage

Currently using Verizon for our cell phone plan. Coverage and LTE is absolutely embarrassing in the Houston area. From Conroe to Pasadena, I have horrible lag times and dropped calls. I’m highly considering switching but wondering what company has good coverage. And suggestions welcomed, tia!
