Apartments for 40ish bachelor in heights or walkable area

Hi – I am looking for insight on the best apartments complexes that meet the following criteria:

• 40ish single guy
• Outgoing but professional neighbors
• Semi active pool area but not 'spring break' every weekend
• Nice enough to have people over
• Trying to stay under $2,200 and preferably under $2,000
• Walkable (bars, restaurants, parks)

I am working with an apartment locator now but I feel like I'm being shoehorned into the places they want to place me in. Happy to answer more details on what I am looking for if anyone is willing to help.

Primarily trying to get insight on which places people have enjoyed as far as socially and location.
