Embedded systems/ product development jobs??

For those of y'all currently working in the houston area where'd you find ur job? I used to get offers left and right didn't even apply and i was getting jobs, and then recently i got laid off and i haven't gotten any offers since, i haven't seen any new job openings in a long time, I'm pretty flexable work wise, and doing product development means i got a lot of skills i can apply for jobs, even with such a wide net im getting nothing. I'm wondering where yall are finding work? is there any carrer fairs around or something ? Can't seem to get back up since getting laid off
