Choosing a Marriott downtown for work conference

I'm traveling to Houston next month for a work conference at George Brown and can choose from these Marriotts (Marquis is already sold out):

– Courtyard Marriott Downtown
– Residence Inn Marriott Downtown

I see they're all at the same location. Is there a reason I would go with one over the other? Any suggestions? Thanks.
