Looking for a divorce lawyer for my gfs husband

Yes it sounds dumb and makes no sense.. but to sum it up, me and my gf dated for 3 years.. 5 years ago before we broke up. We’re both young and immature and had a lot of growing up to do. She got married to a family friend in Mexico, they were married for 1.2 years, before he showed his true colors. She was 23 he was 30ish.. long story short, he probably did it to get papers and come to the states.

He has been long gone and we both changed, been together two years to make sure.. and she is still married on paper. Can’t get ahold of him. They have no kids, no assets or anything to do with each other. She wants a divorce and can’t get a hold of him. Since they have no assets or kids it should be an easy deal. From what I read, they will try to get ahold of him, and after a certain amount of time, if they don’t hear anything it gets processed? I have no clue how this works, but we’re looking for the cheapest and best way possible or if anyone went thru with something similar like this. Thanks.
