Is the Willowbrook area bad?

Hey y'all,

I'm looking to move out with my girlfriend, and we're trying to keep our rent around ~$1k. The Willowbrook area seems to have a lot of complexes that fit that, and it's location is good (close to work, friends etc)

Is it a terrible area? Is the crime particularly bad?
