Relocating to Houston for work. I mostly need easy access to IAH and the office in the Woodlands. Trying to figure out areas to check out.

I'm relocating from DC and looking at areas where I can buy a home for around 250k and have pretty quick and easy access to IAH (30min drive) and occasionally the Woodlands where the office is located.

I travel a lot for work so when I am home I Iike being able to have quick access to grocery and some restaurants. More bonus if I can walk to a grocery. I love trails and sidewalks for walking/jogging daily. No kids and my husband works from home.

The Woodlands seemed great but outside my price range? I saw some realtor videos about New Caney expanding and it seems they have new housing for under $250k but it seems they are just getting started.

Any recommended areas? Are there areas near IAH that have 250k housing and also walkable access to grocery stores, restaurants?
