Providence the Worst bar in Houston

Last night me and my friend wanted to watch the UH game at a chill bar in the heights and he suggested we go to Providence…..that was a mistake.

As soon as we walk in the bartender screams at us that she needs to see our ID’s. It’s visibly apparent that she’s either drunk or on something, maybe both.

For five minutes I try to give it to her my id but every time she reaches for it she either misses it or is to busy arguing with these random people at the bar.

After she finally takes it she gives it to one of the people she was arguing with and I have to ask him for it back.

It then took her another five minutes to open two beers. For the next 20 minutes she yells obscenities loud enough for everyone at the bar (only 5 people) can hear. At which point we decide to leave.

When my friend closed out she randomly told him his name fucking sucks. (Who does that?)

Then pieces out and just leaves the building which then some of the bar patrons start to pour their own drinks.

I literally felt like I was in Paddy’s pub in it’s always sunny. Has anyone else had an experience like that at this place? My buddy said the first time he went it was pretty chill.
