Cost of private garage

New Englander here looking to move to Houston. I've been looking at 1 bedroom apartments/townhouses in and around the Sugarland area and I notice some have detached/attached private garages. I was wondering how much extra per month these generally cost? Also side question, I've heard about complexes having issues with cars getting broken into or stripped. Is this still a large issue around the Sugarland area?
