Texas Children’s Facility Fee

Have a routine eye appointment for my child coming up. We are being hit with a $200+ facility fee which is making up 75% of our total visit cost. We have been given the whole “this is for supplies” and “this is something other places do, but we are one of the last to implement it” excuses. Anyone had any luck removing or reducing the fee either with Texas children’s or the insurance?

Secondary question, if anyone has a good pediatric ophthalmologist that isn’t inside a hospital, let me know
