Anyone feel like their car is skating on ice on I45 right before/after 610?

I was inspired by another Redditor’s post asking if anyone else feels like their car drives odd on certain roads of Houston… There’s these sections on either side of 45 before it hits 610 that are smoother than the rest of the highway. And every time I drive over it, I hold my steering wheel firm because if I don’t, my car drives like it has a mind of its own, like I’m gliding or skating on ice. I’ve carefully taken my hands off the wheel to see how my car reacts and I’m veering into the other lanes, it’s almost as if my car is following grooves on the road but it seems so smooth… just an odd thing that I’ve experienced on other smoother/new-ish paved over roads around town, but this one resonates with me the most. Anyone else? If it matters – I drive a new WRX, it’s AWD, and I have gotten my alignment checked recently. It’s my first AWD, maybe this is part of the Subaru driving experience lolol submitted by /u/Deebeansun |
