Safest place to get an apartment

Hi, I'm moving to Houston for work. I grew up here for a while on the northside as a kid so I have some familiarity but I was still interested in learning the safest part of town. I can afford about a $1500 month rent apartment and I'll be working in the museum district. I was looking at Stafford since crime statistics were low there but still wanted some input. Distance to my job isn't too concerning as long as the area I live in is safe.
