Pass Rush vs. Run Defense

What personnel do you think the Texans should be rolling with?

Imo- I think watt and Jacob Martin on the edges, Mercilus/greenard(once he gets healthy) as backup/rotation for fatigue/injury, and a rotation between dunn, blacklock, omenihu and PJ Hall depending on situation.

Dunn- good in the run game to eat up blocks and leave cunningham/Mckinney to make tackles(usually, they couldn't tackle for s**t this week), not a pass rusher.

Blacklock- like Dunn, good at eating up blocks but definitely possess the ability to shed blockers and get after the QB. Should be between him and omenihu for the starting position at interior defensive end by the end of the season.

Omenihu- should always be in on pass rushing downs. He's a good pass rusher and has great length, but got worked in the run game.

PJ Hall- looked good in the run game, more agile than he looks and slipped passed some guys and helped cause a couple TFL's on the goal line. Not sold on his pass rushing ability, but might have the strength to bull rush and clog up the pocket.

Final thoughts: Watt on the interior worked pretty well, but we need someone we can trust to occupy the edge so JJ can move inside more frequently. Jacob Martin Absolutely positively without a doubt needs to be out there for the majority of defensive snaps(only played 18 snaps on 69 defensive snaps). Mercilus should not be out there unless he absolutely has to be. I believe we have the talent, I'm just not sure if they're picking the right personnel. Hopefully Weaver figures it out soon.
