Model Rocket Launch Site Needed

My son is getting into model rocketry and I'm looking for a location where we can safely launch his rockets. Does anyone have a recommendation for a big open field where we don't have to worry about the rockets landing in a tree or on a house?

We're in the Meyerland/Bellaire area but are willing to drive a bit if necessary. Thanks!
