Anything to do around west Houston on Friday/Saturday?

I’m going to be in Columbus on Friday. Is there anything to do on the south west side of Houston this weekend? I could also go to the zoo. I just hate to miss out on a trip up there by not doing something.

I also might go on Tuesday instead but it’s leaning more on Friday.
