Horrible quality of roads, in particular around Rice U , Kirby & Montrose areas.

Lived in H town years ago & was back visiting. Seems like roads are getting worse & worse? Horrible potholes, uneven surfaces & otherwise challenging roads to drive on. Even more surprising given that there’s 2 3 -4 million $$ mansions around areas of Rice U , upper Kirby & Montrose areas but some of worst roads around!! 😂🤣🤣🤷‍♂️ Is it the weather, tree roots, other factors at play?! Any plans for improving? Seems like this can put a bad toll on cars over time.
