Birds in IAH B terminal.

I am stuck on a delayed flight at IAH B terminal. I just happen to see that there is an entire family of birds (I think they are finches).

I was wondering how and where they live. I looked online to see if there was any information on them but got nowhere.

Anyone know anything about them or info? I'm just curious now.
