What to do about consistent gunshots from a driver that speeds off?

Past week there’s been someone speeding off on main/90 and 610 going southbound and firing shots at our home community and I’m presuming others as well. Our homes are in line of sight from 90. It’s happened about 5 separate days for the past week so far. Each time it’s about 5-6 rounds. Just now it was like 20+ and I hear them speeding away.

We know it’s gunshots cause one homes window got hit.

We’ve called the police. Not sure what else can be done though. I’m not sure police will do anything about it. How do you even catch someone doing drive bys like this? They seem to be getting more confident as they’re firing more shots now.

Anyone hear them that are around the area?
