Tadpole Hunting

Can anyone suggest where and when to find tadpoles in the greater Houston area? Just moved here from Louisiana and our kids love raising a few tadpoles then releasing them. I have the appropriate licenses. We actually live in League City but I guess I don’t have enough Reddit posts to create a post in those communities. Thanks!!!!!
