Identify this old kolache place?

Sometime between 1981 (when we moved from Charlotte to Houston) and 1988 when we went back to Charlotte my dad had a favorite kolache shop. The guy who ran it was a big guy named Tom and my dad said he’d been somehow associated with the oilers (although my dad might have made that up. He never let the truth get in the way of a good story). I feel like the shop was in an old strip mall.

Tom would let kids go behind the counter and pick out their treats. And his koblasneks were storied in my family. I feel like the dough wasn’t as sweet.

But anyway anybody remember Tom and his Big Tom kolaches? Because honestly I’m starting to think this place was a fever dream shared by my parents, my brother and I.
