Picking up at IAH Terminal C

Hi everyone – thanks in advance for any help provided. I’m picking my dad up from IAH tomorrow morning – he’s supposed to land in Terminal C, but to my most current knowledge picking up passengers there is either practically impossible or still a nightmare with construction delays. He hasn’t flown in years, especially via a larger airport. My inclination is to see if he’s comfortable finding the Sky Train/Tram and going to passenger pickup at Terminal A. Given the current state of the airport would there be a better option?

I’d even consider parking and going inside to get him, but I know parking in the airport garages isn’t a guarantee.
