Home Renovations: What’s your experience?

HGTV makes it look easy, but Houston is a different ballgame. I know the costs and timeline can be all over the board, but I’d love to hear your personal experience.

Schedule: How long did it take to kick off, and was finding a contractor a breeze?

Budget/project: Can you share costs and the extent of the work? Kitchen/bathroom/whole house/inside/outside? Completely rearrange vs new counters and paint?

Surprises: Obviously foundation issues with flooding is a big one, but any other issues you didn’t expect? Did you live in the home during the reno or have to stay somewhere else?
