Any news on changes to transit?

I'm in the middle of research surrounding light rail in Houston and the only concrete news I've found surrounding Metrorail is that there is a planned expansion for the Green Line and that both the Green and Purple Lines are eventually planned to meet in the Hobby Area. On top of that, I've found information that Annise Parker made some sort of agreement that BRT lines like the current Silver line and planned University line could be retrofitted to become light rail corridors later on after their construction. Everything that I've found is at least four years old and little to no information was put out past 2022. With the city council entirely shifted, a new mayor, and politicians throughout the state having been changed since the last time any major light rail projects were proposed, does anybody know of any changes that may have taken place in terms of whether that system will grow or shift?
