Rental Car vs Rideshare – Space Center during IAH Layover

I have a very long layover at IAH and would like to visit the Space Center.

Should I use rideshare or rent a car?

I know this sub generally recommends renting a car, but I have yet to find a post where someone is just doing 1 point of interest to and from the airport. Thanks!
