Lake Houston-area parents face child care obstacles

Many parents throughout the state—including in the Lake Houston area—have dealt with increased wait times to secure spots for their children at child care facilities, and officials said the problem could be further exacerbated by the halt of funding that was disseminated early in the COVID-19 pandemic.
