Holiday programs that aren’t through the Salvation Army?

Hey all, it's that time of year, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or places that's doing holiday gift giving or the like that isn't bigoted, or is secular, that actually helps the community that I can give to or participate in? The Angel Tree thing seems cool but no thanks Salvation Army.
