Illegal Dumping Conflict

We live in the heights & someone has been illegally dumping furniture at the corner of our street. However, I called the city & they said if I report it I would have to report myself & I would get a ticket ($300) in order for them to remove it. We don't have a truck or anything to take this junk to the landfill and its making our street look trashy. Does anyone have any suggestion of what to do?
