Rental House Hunting / Neighborhood Recommendations for young professionals
Hi All! I've been searching for rental properties around Houston for my scheduled move on new year day 2024, but would love to get some non-SEO insights from actual residents.
My requirements are as follows:
- Feature priority:
- Safety
- Parks and Walkability
- Commute to work in Uptown/Tanglewood
- Late twenties/ young professional crowd nearby
- Proximity to decent cafes, restaurants, etc.
- 2 bed, 2 bath with a max budget of $4000
- Prefer gated apartment complex with common facilities
I'm leaning towards the following neighborhoods so far: – Uptown: Tons of shopping and nice apartments, but bad traffic – River Oaks: Low Crime, walkable, access to parks – Greenway – West University: Mostly houses, highly walkable – Montrose: Tons of cafes, diverse crowd, mostly houses
Please recommend neighborhoods, building complexes, services, or any relevant tips for living in Houston.
Thank You!
