Houston really needs rail on Westhimer

2 hours of my day today have been spent waiting for route 82 in particular today. It's the only bus I've taken today and I have gone far. I've been going back and fourth on a four mile strip on Westhimer. But the 82 has been bunching like crazy again. It's gotten better. A year ago it was common for 4 – 6 busses to arrive at once. Today it's been about 2 – 4 with multiple buses seemingly not existing. I've have been seeing the word scheduled on Google maps recently.

I recently read an article about how the rapid bus system on post oak failed. I wasn't aware it was meant to succeed since I rarely rode it and when I did it seemed empty. Maybe metro thought it would induce demand 🤷🏿

If any route needs rail or a separated rapid bus system it's Westhimer. Of course they'd need to make sure the intersections leading up to the stations had working cross walk signals.

I've had multiple people give me multiple reasons why Westhimer isn't the stroad that's getting some kind of more traffic independent system.
