The Burger Joint creators to open The Taco Stand in the Heights

The creators of The Burger Joint, chef Matthew Pak and Shawn Bermudez, have a taco concept in the works. 

The Taco Stand will serve street tacos, burritos and frozen margaritas in a traditional restaurant format, along with a drive-thru. It will open this fall at 2018 N. Shepherd Drive in the Heights, according to a press release.

The concept was originally conceived as a food truck. Pak traveled to Mexico City and Los Angeles last year to do research and form a menu.
