Free Agency Day 1

Been a baseball fan since I entered adulthood about 8 years ago. Normally though I don’t pay much attention from now until Spring Training but something about the bitter loss to the Rangers has left me hungry for every scrap of news I can get for next years squad.

With that being said, it’s my understanding that baseballs free agency period begins Monday.

So I am curious, how busy is day 1 across the league? Not necessarily the Astros in particular but just eager to understand what to expect. Is it usually a land rush to try and lock up players you are excited about before someone else can? Or do things play out slow and steady and just happen when they happen?

Any insight more veteran fans can give would be greatly appreciated!
