HRC 2023 – final leaderboard and winners!

Hello /r/astros,

After allowing a bit of time for emotions to cool, I'm here to present the winners of the HRC game for 2023.

We once again broke the record for participation, with 311 people earning at least one point on the leaderboard. 147 people got at least two, and 47 at least five.

The standout performance this year, though, was /u/lightvale86, with 12 successful calls. He employed a 'Tucker-only' strategy, with all 12 points (and, to my knowledge, all the unsuccessful calls as well) stemming from Kyle Tucker – remarkably, that's 41.3% of his home runs, and this resulted in a big enough lead that even an infamous postseason slump didn't allow anyone to catch up.

In 2nd place, we had a four-way tie, with /u/artificialevil, /u/YaBoiWhit, /u/Christop_McC, and /u/EMHforever reaching the podium with a very respectable 10 points.

I want to thank everyone here and on Discord for participating for another year. This is the fourth season I've been doing this and it really has become part of my daily routine; the fact that it's also a part of many people's gameday routine is something I take pride in.

To employ something of a running joke, unless someone decides to revive /u/HRCbot, I'll be back on Opening Day next year.
