Youth Mentorship Recommendations?

I'm a 30 year old single guy looking for something productive to do with my free time these days. I've been thinking about doing some youth mentoring thing, and I'm particularly interested in being a mentor or something along those lines for one or two kids. Kind of like someone to talk to, offer advice based on my experiences (I've been in community college, university, was in the Army, and am now well into a civilian career). There are sort of an overwhelming number of programs, so I thought I'd reach out here and see if anyone had recommendations or success stories with a particular org.

edit: I'm not particularly religious, so any religion-based programs are probably not my strong-suit.
