I WAS THERE! (GAME 5)

This game was so surreal to be at. First ever postseason game and my Astros won in the craziest fashion ever. When Garcia hit that home run all the air left my chest and I thought it was gonna be a similar song and dance to Game 1. Had no idea what was coming next.

The pitch that changed the game was insane. I was up in section 301 and everyone around me was trying to figure out what happened. Shortly after you just see Dusty going nuts on the umps (obviously for a great reason.) All the rangers fans around me going crazy not even thinking it could have been an accident on Abreu’s part. Screams of “F*** You Houston” could be heard throughout the stadium. Truly a classy group of individuals who would probably froth at the mouth to see Altuve have the same thing happen to him.

After that experience, every nerve in my body was shot as we approached closer and closer to the end of the game. Then the 9th inning comes and well you know the rest. It felt like the entire stadium just collapsed after that. Like there’s no way the rangers even felt like they could come back. And of course they didn’t!

Then to wrap up the day my fiancée and I took a pic together and we asked someone sitting near us to take. We go to look at the picture and I start feeling beer splash on my back down my legs. I turn around and a lady in the same group is giving this “what are you gonna do about it” look. We just hurried out and chanted “Let’s go Astros!” with more fans to then be met with more “F*** You Houston!”
