Portable A/C Unit Recommendations?

Just moved to Houston and figuring out this heat!!! I’m renting a 900 sq ft. warehouse apartment. It’s a mega cool space but as you can imagine, not the best insulation. I keep the AC on 75 and my apartment stays at 75 until the outside temp reaches about 95… Then it begins creeping up. If it’s 100 outside (as it has been) it’s 82 in my place. I have two very effective ceiling fans and one Vornado fan that is AWESOME. All those combined keep it pretty comfortable but I’d be lying if I said I was happy about 82 degrees inside from 3-7PM. I also have dogs, but they are fine, although I’m sure they’d love it a little cooler too!

I’ve been doing research trying to figure out my best options for cooling it down by a few degrees during the hottest time of the day. My front room has big bay windows and definitely gets the warmest. They are sliding windows (if that’s helpful re: advice). I can also close a door to that room.
