<24 hours with 5 kids aged 10 years old to 20 months. Suggestions please!

Hi Houston,

My family and I are taking a trip soon and part of our itinerary will be staying one night in Houston as we pass through. We are projecting to arrive between 1-2PM on a Saturday, although our twist is 5 kids from 10 years old to 20 months so who really knows when we'll get there. We will then leave Sunday morning probably right before or right after lunch.

I've seen a lot of people recommend the Children's Museum. Would you suggest that if we only spend a couple hours there? My older kids are also really into space but I think we wouldn't have time to make the Space Center worth it (unless you suggest otherwise!). Alternatively, we're also fan of Botanic Gardens if you might recommend that. Basically just trying to figure out how to spend the afternoon and early evening before dinner and then probably crashing due to a long car ride.

Also, wondering if anyone could please provide a dinner and brunch/lunch suggestion that is kid friendly? We really like Japanese food and it looks like there could be some good options (including an Izakaya that seemed to have kids in the google pictures), just not sure about the family aspect. Really open to any cool local joints though.

Thank you!
