Help for a friend in need

Hello, I need some advice and assistance for a friend going through a tough time. Currently, I'm unable to provide financial support and am reaching out to see if anyone knows of resources that could help.

My friend recently lost his job and is now living in his car. A person he knows offered to help him get a hotel room, but the reservation fell through because it required a credit card and ID on site. Amidst this chaos, my friend lost his car key. He’s been stuck in a hotel parking garage downtown since Monday night. His parents are unwilling to help, even though they have a spare key.

He contacted a locksmith for a quote and unexpectedly, they sent someone out. However, the cost to make a new key is $275, an amount he can't afford right now. We are looking for ways to cover this expense so he can move his car before being forced out of the garage.

Once the immediate issue of the car key is resolved, we can explore outreach services to address his homelessness and help him secure a job. Any suggestions or support would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
