Houston areas compared to NYC. What’s sort of similar? Advice before I move.

Hi there! I’m planning a move in the next month and wanted to learn more about neighborhoods in Houston. I’ve lived in a few cities, but spent more time in NYC and was wondering if you could compare some neighborhoods or areas of Houston to NYC areas, how would they tally up? If at all.

I’m in my mid 30’s, single, like the city but want my dog to have a yard and plan to wfh. Would love to be where people similar to me are in age and possibly an area where there are lots of working professionals, cafes, and people nterested in socializing. Advice welcomed!
