Looking for a reputable medical escort

Hello, all.

I was supposed to have an endoscopy done. The GI doc was willing to do it without sedation. I didn't have it done for financial reasons at the time, but now I am in a better position to get it done. However, in addition to the endoscopy, I need a colonoscopy, which I wouldn't want done without sedation even if it were an option.

I'm not a Houston native. All of my family and friends live in another state. The state of Texas (probably most, if not all states) require you have a companion accompany you if you undergo a procedure that requires sedation. They won't release you without having someone to release you to, even if you don't drive and take an Uber or public transportation.

I'm looking for reputable medical escorts, companies that have vetted people, medical professional (e.g., nurse, CNA) or otherwise (i.e., not medical professional, trained care giver). I've read about medical escorts for older people, so I know they exist, but I'm having trouble finding someone/a company for my particular need here in Houston.
