I finally have a car! What are some places I can explore in Houston on a budget? Could be anything like parks, restaurants, thrift stores etc.

I moved to Houston from a foreign country five years ago and didn't get to explore the city much due to lack of a car. I went to a college in the suburbs and lived and worked near the campus, only occasionally leaving the neighborhood to hang out with friends and family. Well now that I finally have a car, I want to see what I missed out in the past five years lol.
